I can say that the lobby is beautiful and clean! Now what the actual theatre looks like…I don’t know since it’s dark in there. Nom: It’s ok handsome! 🙂 I was filling up on one of my favorite food groups anyway…popcorn.

The ambiance of the movie theater definitely gives you the feeling that you are somewhere special. The location is only minutes away from a ton of shopping, including the Allen outlet malls, which is another thing on their side. Top notch menu variety considering it’s a movie theater, but the items on the menu are on the expensive side. They were really good! Ipic is clean, even though I still doubt exactly HOW clean the blankets and fabric of the chairs are.
Om: Sorry again Nom 😦 I didn’t mean to 98% of the fries, it just kind of worked out that way. I have no idea what exactly is on these things…but they are outstanding! I didn’t get very many but the ones I did get were out of this world. Nom: This is a unique experience and the menu goes way beyond typical theater food! We had the flatbread pizza and it was very good! It was crispy but not crumbly and had a really good flavor! I have to agree with my handsome love, the truffle fries are their crowning glory. I didn’t give Nom the chance to eat very many, I was kind of selfish when it comes to those edible delights. None-the-less, they are out of this world. You get a lot of them and they are loaded with…well, is is cheese or garlic or something? Is it truffles? Nom, help me out here. Is it the best french fry that I have tasted? Like, ever? Possibly. Their crowning jewel though, and something that I enjoy almost every time I go there, are their truffle fries. The flatbread pizza was tasty with a nice crunchy crust, though some might consider it a bit dry. If you are a popcorn lover then you will certainly enjoy their popcorn, but it is plain and you don’t get an option of adding butter or salt.

iPic offers offers a full menu full of appetizers, main courses, and deserts, but they are of the “you don’t need utensils” variety. Om: OK, let’s not forget that this is a unique experience as far as food goes – though they have gotten more numerous, it’s not like there are a lot of movie theater’s out there that serve actual food, let alone something beyond a hot dog and pretzel. For as expensive as iPic is I expect better service. Ok, back to the waiter…once he delivered our food and popcorn and I definitely got the “he was about to forget our popcorn” vibe, he totally evaporated. I figure it’s going over my jeans so how bad can it be?! Ok, don’t answer that…I really don’t want to know and I like the illusion of cozy.
BUT I can get cold easily so I do use the blanket. He did show up and our food was out pretty quickly! Within about 10 minutes which was good! The pillows and blanket situation…I have never used the pillows because, well, ick. Nom: I actually got a little concerned about our waiter showing up only because when we sat down I didn’t see a server in sight. They really have some room for improvement to really set themselves apart from any other movie theater experience out there, and instead it comes across as a bit lacking. Yes, my popcorn has been forgotten on occasions in the past. The waiter never checked back to see how everything was, they don’t refill your drinks unless asked, pillows and blankets should really be washed in-between shows, and I fear that our popcorn would have been forgotten had we not reminded him. Instead, you get “ok” service, something you might see at an Applebee’s or Chili’s. Here’s the thing at iPic – service should really be a 4.5 or 5 considering the seat & food prices and ambiance, expecting something really special. At the iPic they provide you with blankets and pillows, which I try to avoid using a) because I would fall asleep nine times out of 10 and b) I’m not quite sure that they wash them after each use. We got our food about 10 minutes after ordering, which was perfectly acceptable. Om: Shortly after we took our seats a waiter came over, introduced himself, and was ready to take our order. Order: White flatbread pizza, truffle fries, small bag of popcorn each (free).This is one of those upscale movie theaters that offer comfortable seats that recline, a more private experience, and food beyond your standard popcorn / soda / candy offerings. The key word here is relax, and that’s exactly the feeling that you get when you go see a movie here. After a hectic Black Friday we decided to relax and go see a movie at the iPic theater located in the Village at Fairview.
